Cindy Albright
Early in our business, it became apparent that we possessed unique knowledge to build websites. That business was not central to our mission, but we thought we could help non-profit organizations develop a a web presence. One of our associates, Cindy Albright, is a skilled web developer. We have employed her to develop several sites. These sites only pay us a nominal fee. We believe that we have been blessed with unique gifts to enable these sites, but we do not want to profit from them. We want to help. Here is a list of our projects:
Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilmington Delaware, USA
In the early 90s, the use of websites for church communications was just being developed. We were fortunate to be able to purchase the wpc.org webname before others were aware of its importance. At the time Cindy was editing the church’s printed newsletter. She was willing to learn html coding, and, as they say, the rest was history. While we no longer publish www.wpc.org, we are proud of its development and our part in its history.
National Textile Center
The NTC website, www.ntcresearch.org, is a complex site built on both html code and Cold Fusion. The site contains the full 20yr research program. It is cross indexed to find both academic research investigators, but also key word search the program. If you want to know the finest academic work in the world, visit this site.
The Textile Institute
The Textile Institute is a unique organization in textiles, clothing and footwear. It was incorporated in England by a Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity. The Institute has individual and corporate members in up to 80 countries, the membership covers all sectors and all disciplines in textiles, clothing and footwear. Within the global textiles, clothing and footwear industries the aim of the Institute is to facilitate learning, to recognize achievement , to reward excellence and to disseminate information. Cindy and I built their website in the mid 1999′s. www.textileinstitute.org. It is a complex site built using html and asp coding. Newer parts are built using WordPress. We invite you to visit.
Edenridge I and II Civic Association
Edenridge is a housing development in Talleyville, DE, a suburb of Wilmington DE. The development has an active civic association and wanted to create a site where homeowners and the public could easily access information about the association. The content management site was developed using WordPress. www.edenridgecivic.com
The Chalet of San Marco
The Chalet of San Marco is a beachfront condominium in Marco Island, FL. The purpose of this site to have a public view of the building and its amenities as well as provide a large reservoir of historical information for the owners, who are non-resident during part of the year. www.ChaletMarcoIsland.com
Thoughts on Sharing Wealth
Jim Bennett has devoted his life to helping others. He wanted a way to encourage people to make a personal commitment to share one’s wealth with those in need.
